I spent one and a half year in Cologne (Germany). It was good to be back for Anika and Christoph wedding. it made me remind of the good time spent there, including this time of the year (February), when Carnival celebration are on.
Cologne Cathedral, a Roman Catholic church, it's a renowned monument of German Catholicism and Gothic architecture and is a World Heritage Site.
During World War II, despite suffering several hits by aerial bombs during, the cathedral did not collapse, but stood tall in an otherwise flattened city.
