The Gulf of Trieste
Trieste, a beautiful city located in north-east Italy (in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region), overlooks the Gulf of Trieste, in the Adriatic Sea.
Trieste is home of the Barcolana Regatta (http://www.barcolana.it/), an historic and (extremely) crowded international sailing regatta taking place yearly, on the second Sunday of October.
